ABK marks 50 years of success! A journey to Simplicity

Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) yesterday marks the Bank’s 50th year of service in Kuwait, celebrating half a decade of successful banking services. Opening its doors in 1967 to serve the Kuwait community, ABK has grown to become one of the most respected and innovative banks in the region.

Today, ABK proudly stands for easier, simpler and superior customer service and its innovative range of financial products are now offered across three main markets; Kuwait, UAE and Egypt.

Commenting on this occasion, Talal Behbehani - Chairman of ABK said: “Today we proudly celebrate the 50th anniversary of Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait; a significant milestone that commemorates the Bank’s journey since its inception. Our celebration is not so much a festivity, but a solemn moment to pause and look back at this fifty year journey and pay tribute to the founders of this great financial institution.

I would like to extend my profound thanks to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince-Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Kuwait Government for their unstinting support of the Bank in its first five decades of operations. I would also like to thank our loyal and dedicated staff, and our customers, partners and shareholders. ABK is commemorating this occasion through a series of events throughout the year starting with the employee ghabqa with a 50th Anniversary theme. The event will enjoy draws, the unveiling of the 50th documentary movie which tells the successful story of the Bank since its establishment and last but not least staff will enjoy a grand
