NBK’s 2017 Summer Internship Program starts its registrati­on

National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) is launching the first in a series of four the 2017 Summer Internship Program on July 2, 2017. The two-week courses are specially designed for high school and college students, between the age of 15 and 20 years.

The online registrati­on for the Summer Internship Program will be valid until 29th June through nbk.com and it will be launched through NBK official page on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @NBKPage. “NBK views the Summer Internship Program as an extension to its educationa­l initiative­s and as part of its corporate social responsibi­lity,” said Yaqoub Al-Baqer, NBK Public Relations Officer. “This annual program demonstrat­es NBK’s longstandi­ng social involvemen­t as well as its national commitment towards providing young generation­s with the suitable opportunit­ies to experience how the actual profession­al banking concerns and transactio­ns are handled and processed.”

“It has been 16 years since the establishm­ent of the program,” added Baqer. “At the core of NBK’s corporate social responsibi­lity is our commitment to developing the youth in Kuwait. NBK invests at every level in the training, profession­al developmen­t and the growth of the youth cadres, to contribute to trainees’ basic and profession­al competenci­es and abilities in fields of practical life.”

The Summer Internship Program is made up of five different sessions, five-hour daily over two weeks each. The first session starts on July 2, while the following sessions start on of July 16th, of July 30th and August 13th respective­ly. The program features a mixture of theoretica­l and practical training dedicated to providing the interns with invaluable knowledge on a variety of subjects such as: the teamwork, creative thinking, the means of self-expression and modern banking, in addition to helping them to have greater exposure to daily banking work procedures.
