Sheikh Nasser visits Islamic Sharia advisory committee
KUWAIT: His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad AlAhmad Al-Sabah accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled AlHamad Al-Sabah visited Sunday evening headquarters of Supreme Consultative Committee on the Implementation of the Muslim Sharia Law, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr Mohammad Al-Tabtabaei, Chairman of Committee, said the committee has completed, on the fifth day of Ramadan this year, its review and study of laws and proposed what it deems fit to comply with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia laws. Tabtabaei pointed out that the committee has setup a soothing plan prepared for the completion of Islamic Sharia laws in various aspects of life, educational, social, advocacy, cultural, and ready for all segments of society. The committee completed the plan in a record period, less than a year since the new committee members assumed responsibilities, through adopting an innovative and a practical approach. Tabtabaei added that it has started a new phase based on tolerance and ease of Islamic teaching, which was awaited by many Kuwaitis for a long time, and only by the grace of Allah and the wise leadership of Kuwait. This was also achieved via fruitful cooperation and high enthusiasm by the members of the committee, their expertise and strict specialization in Sharia law and law in general. In a record period, the committee has established a modern digital legal library for Sharia and for supporting sciences, a digital library that includes all what the committee needs to study ranging from contemporary legal issues and legal aspects, Tabtabaei said.
Tabtabaei added that after this blessed and historical achievement, the committee is ready to harness all its expertise and potentials for the next phase, which is helping the executive authority implement the its plans and goals with the help of the committee. Tabtabaei also praised His Highness Sheikh Nasser for his support to the committee, since its inception.
