KIB sponsors ‘Snatch For a Cause’ charity campaign
As part of its commitment towards supporting humanitarian initiatives and promoting a healthier lifestyle, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently sponsored the 3rd charity campaign organized by Flare Fitness, entitled “Snatch For a Cause”. Taking place throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan in partnership with Kuwait Food Bank and a number of other local partners, the campaign was aimed at supporting children in need within the local community.
As part of the larger campaign, a charity sports event was held at the club’s main premises. Over 300 participants of all ages and from both genders came together to compete in various weight-lifting exercises, with a special focus on snatch lifts. Participants were able to channel sheer physical strength and determination for the benefit of their community, as with every 20kg of weight lifted, one dinar was donated to the Kuwait Food Bank. The charity campaign also featured a special iftar meal for those in need, which saw the participation of a large number of young volunteers from across the community.
Within this context, Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, said: “We are very proud to have taken part in this unique and exciting fitness charity event, which not only promotes a healthier lifestyle across the community in a fun, engaging social context, but also supports children in need of specialized medical treatment.
Najia added that KIB is always keen on promoting a greater sense of health consciousness across the local community, and for that reason, we continuously seek opportunities that allow us to better the lives of different segments across the community.
As part of its leading social responsibility program, KIB organized a wide range of humanitarian and community-based initiatives and activities during Ramadan. Additionally, the Bank is committed to raising awareness about health programs and various local sports activities, particularly those that support different segments across the local community.
