Zain distributes Eid breakfast meals
In partnership with Kuwait Food Bank
KUWAIT:
Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, shared the joys of Eid with needy laborers and underprivileged individuals by distributing Eid breakfast meals in a number of Kuwait’s largest mosques. The initiative came as part of the company’s strategic partnership with the Kuwait Food Bank. In the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Zain distributed 2,000 breakfast meals after Eid prayers to needy laborers and underprivileged individuals in a number of Kuwait’s largest mosques. The initiative was supervised by the Kuwait Food Bank who assured the quality of the meals and distributed enough quantities to those who are less fortunate during Eid.
Zain’s initiative is part of its growing support for charitable and social oriented programs, and is a reflection of its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy. One such program Zain organized before the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan featured the distribution of “Machla Boxes” to underprivileged families.
Zain’s Ramadan campaign for this year witnessed a wide range of social and charitable initiatives. The company participated in a number of charitable, social and voluntary activities, as well as the distribution of essential food supplies to underprivileged families, iftar halls, visit social care centers, visit hospitals, as well as organize other humanitarian initiatives. The company’s Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility campaign during the Holy Month of Ramadan included an extensive array of programs that covered different areas. The initiatives and programs included humanitarian, voluntary, cultural, religious, sports, and recreational activities to cater to the different segments of society.
Ramadan presented a special occasion for Zain to communicate and interact with the Kuwaiti community it operates in through its extensive CSSR campaign. The company was keen on helping less fortunate people to enjoy Ramadan happily, as well as celebrate the true spirit the Holy month brought.
