Amir of­fers con­do­lence over Saudi, Egypt at­tack vic­tims

His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Fri­day sent a ca­ble of con­do­lences to Saudi King Sal­man bin Ab­du­laziz Al Saud over the ‘mar­tyr­dom’ of a Saudi se­cu­rity man and in­jury of six oth­ers in a ter­ror­ist at­tack in Al-Qatif in Saudi Ara­bia. In the ca­ble, His High­ness the Amir voiced Kuwait’s sharp con­dem­na­tion of this heinous ter­ror­ist at­tack that tar­geted in­no­cents and aimed at dis­rupt­ing se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity in the Kingdom of Saudi Ara­bia.

His High­ness the Amir ex­pressed sym­pa­thy with the Kingdom, and sup­ported all mea­sures taken by Saudi au­thor­i­ties to fight terrorism and safe­guard the Kingdom’s se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity. His High­ness the Amir also re­it­er­ated Kuwait’s re­jec­tion of terrorism in all its man­i­fes­ta­tions and forms, wish­ing speedy re­cov­ery of the in­jured and se­cu­rity of the kingdom and its peo­ple.

Two other ca­bles of con­do­lences were sent by His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlHa­mad Al-Sabah. in the mean­time, Na­tional Assem­bly Speaker Mar­zouq AlGhanem sent a ca­ble of con­do­lences to the Chair­man of the Saudi Shura Coun­cil (Con­sul­ta­tive Assem­bly) Dr Ab­dul­lah bin Mo­ham­mad Al Sheikh. Ear­lier on Thurs­day, the Saudi Ara­bia’s Min­istry of In­te­rior an­nounced the ‘mar­tyr­dom’ of a se­cu­rity man and in­jury of six oth­ers when a pa­trol was at­tacked in a district in Al-Qatif prov­ince, east of the coun­try.

Mean­while, His High­ness the Amir sent a ca­ble of con­do­lences to Egyp­tian Pres­i­dent Ab­delfa­tah Al-Sisi over the vic­tims of a ter­ror­ist at­tack in Rafah City in North Si­nai. In the ca­ble, His High­ness the Amir voiced Kuwait’s sharp con­dem­na­tion of this heinous ter­ror­ist at­tack that tar­geted in­no­cents and aimed at dis­rupt­ing se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity in Egypt. His High­ness the Amir also re­it­er­ated Kuwait’s re­jec­tion of terrorism in all its man­i­fes­ta­tions and forms, wish­ing speedy re­cov­ery of the in­jured and se­cu­rity of Egypt and its peo­ple. Two other ca­bles of con­do­lences were sent by His High­ness the Crown Prince and His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter, while Ghanem sent a ca­ble of con­do­lences to his Egyp­tian coun­ter­part Ali Ab­de­lal.

Also, the Kuwaiti For­eign Min­istry Fri­day ve­he­mently con­demned the ter­ror­ist at­tacks in Al-Qatif in Saudi Ara­bia and in Egypt’s North Si­nai. An of­fi­cial source at the min­istry said in a state­ment that Kuwait stands side by side with Saudi Ara­bia and Egypt, and sup­ports all mea­sures they are tak­ing in or­der to up­hold their se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity.

The source re­it­er­ated Kuwait’s firm po­si­tion based on re­ject­ing vi­o­lence and terrorism, em­pha­siz­ing that con­certed in­ter­na­tional ef­forts should be ex­erted in or­der to fight terrorism that tar­gets hu­man­ity and world se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity. The source of­fered con­do­lences to the Saudi and Egyp­tian gov­ern­ments and peo­ple over the vic­tims of the at­tacks and wished those in­jured speedy re­cov­ery. — KUNA
