IISM holds senior investiture ceremony
India International School Mangaf organized senior investiture ceremony. Ripples of excitement were experienced by every member of the IISM family on May 5, 2017, the most auspicious day on which the democratically elected student council was sworn in officially. The chief guest Krishen Kumar Pahel, First secretary (political), Indian Embassy to Kuwait was offered a red carpet welcome by the Director, Principal, Senior Vice Principal, Vice Principals and the student council members. It was a spectacular sight to watch the student’s council members, the House Captains and Prefects on the dais.
The Principal F M Basheer Ahmed welcomed the Chief Guest and the School Director Malayil Moosa Koya honored him with a memento. In his welcome speech the Principal explained the significance of the new symbols allotted to all the four houses renamed recent- ly as Imperial, Ideal, Sparkle and MarvelImperial with the King’s Crown demonstrating royalty, Ideal with Leaves depicting freshness and fortune, Sparkle with Maple leaves embedding courage and sacrifice and Marvel with the Sundisplaying glorious vitality.
This was followed by the Flag presentation of the School and all its four houses. The Head boy and the Head girl shared their profound emotions and vouched to be responsible administrators for the year ahead. The Chief Guest and the other dignitaries of the school conferred badges to the student council members, house captains and theprefects. It was scintillating scenario to watch the oath taking by the new council.
The chief guest delivered a short power packed speech emphasizing the importance of students being academically and politically perfect. The relevance of his speech was high- lighted by the proceeding event - honoring the academic achievers and subject toppers of X and XII 2015-16 batches. A soothing melody by the school choir followed all these meritorious buzzle. These mind blowing series of events came to a close with a suitable thankful note presented by the CCA secretaries. The gathering dispersed after wishing the new council members and promising their support to them.
