IISM holds se­nior in­vesti­ture cer­e­mony

In­dia In­ter­na­tional School Man­gaf or­ga­nized se­nior in­vesti­ture cer­e­mony. Rip­ples of ex­cite­ment were ex­pe­ri­enced by ev­ery mem­ber of the IISM fam­ily on May 5, 2017, the most aus­pi­cious day on which the demo­crat­i­cally elected stu­dent coun­cil was sworn in of­fi­cially. The chief guest Kr­ishen Ku­mar Pa­hel, First sec­re­tary (po­lit­i­cal), In­dian Em­bassy to Kuwait was of­fered a red car­pet wel­come by the Di­rec­tor, Prin­ci­pal, Se­nior Vice Prin­ci­pal, Vice Prin­ci­pals and the stu­dent coun­cil mem­bers. It was a spec­tac­u­lar sight to watch the stu­dent’s coun­cil mem­bers, the House Cap­tains and Pre­fects on the dais.

The Prin­ci­pal F M Basheer Ahmed wel­comed the Chief Guest and the School Di­rec­tor Malayil Moosa Koya hon­ored him with a me­mento. In his wel­come speech the Prin­ci­pal ex­plained the sig­nif­i­cance of the new sym­bols al­lot­ted to all the four houses re­named re­cent- ly as Im­pe­rial, Ideal, Sparkle and MarvelIm­pe­rial with the King’s Crown demon­strat­ing roy­alty, Ideal with Leaves de­pict­ing fresh­ness and for­tune, Sparkle with Maple leaves em­bed­ding courage and sac­ri­fice and Mar­vel with the Sundis­play­ing glo­ri­ous vi­tal­ity.

This was fol­lowed by the Flag pre­sen­ta­tion of the School and all its four houses. The Head boy and the Head girl shared their pro­found emo­tions and vouched to be re­spon­si­ble ad­min­is­tra­tors for the year ahead. The Chief Guest and the other dig­ni­taries of the school con­ferred badges to the stu­dent coun­cil mem­bers, house cap­tains and thep­re­fects. It was scin­til­lat­ing sce­nario to watch the oath tak­ing by the new coun­cil.

The chief guest de­liv­ered a short power packed speech em­pha­siz­ing the im­por­tance of stu­dents be­ing aca­dem­i­cally and po­lit­i­cally per­fect. The rel­e­vance of his speech was high- lighted by the pro­ceed­ing event - hon­or­ing the aca­demic achiev­ers and sub­ject top­pers of X and XII 2015-16 batches. A sooth­ing melody by the school choir fol­lowed all th­ese mer­i­to­ri­ous buz­zle. Th­ese mind blow­ing se­ries of events came to a close with a suit­able thank­ful note pre­sented by the CCA sec­re­taries. The gath­er­ing dis­persed af­ter wish­ing the new coun­cil mem­bers and promis­ing their sup­port to them.
