Amir of­fers con­do­lences to Egyp­tian Pres­i­dent

His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber AlSabah on Fri­day sent a ca­ble of con­do­lences to Egypt’s Pres­i­dent Ab­delfa­tah Al-Sisi over the vic­tims of the armed at­tack that tar­geted a se­cu­rity check­point in the city of El Badrashin, Giza Gov­er­norate, killing five po­lice­men. His High­ness the Amir voiced Kuwait’s strong con­dem­na­tion of such crim­i­nal acts that aim at dis­rupt­ing se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity in the coun­try. His High­ness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ah­mad AlJaber Al-Sabah and His High­ness the Prime Min­is­ter Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Ha­mad Al-Sabah sent two sim­i­lar ca­bles to the Egyp­tian Pres­i­dent. Mean­while, an of­fi­cial source at the For­eign Min­istry voiced Kuwait’s strong con­dem­na­tion of the ter­ror­ist at­tack. The source re­it­er­ated Kuwait’s sup­port to the “broth­ers in Egypt” and all the mea­sures Cairo might take to pro­tect the coun­try’s se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity. The for­eign min­istry source reaf­firmed Kuwait’s ini­tial, and un­wa­ver­ing stance, that re­jects vi­o­lence and all forms of ter­ror­ism, and of­fered con­do­lences to the Egyp­tian lead­er­ship, gov­ern­ment and peo­ple as well as the vic­tims’ fam­i­lies, pray­ing for ev­er­last­ing se­cu­rity and sta­bil­ity in the coun­try. —KUNA
