Mul­ti­ple drug-re­lated ar­rests made around Kuwait

Far­waniya se­cu­rity direc­torate of­fi­cers ar­rested an Arab man with pos­ses­sion of 26 en­velopes sus­pected of con­tain­ing shabu (meth), along with 107 Tra­madol pills and three en­velopes of chem­i­cal; a vari­a­tion of ‘Spice’ (syn­thetic mar­i­juana) with added chem­i­cals. The man was taken to the Drug Con­trol Gen­eral Depart­ment (DCGD) to face charges. In an­other case, Hawally se­cu­rity ar­rested a cit­i­zen in an ab­nor­mal con­di­tion who was ob­struct­ing traf­fic. Po­lice found four butts of cig­a­rettes sus­pected of con­tain­ing drugs in the man’s pos­ses­sion. Mean­while, three Asians were ar­rested for brew­ing liquor. Po­lice found 2,300 bot­tles and 50 drums. Also, Ah­madi se­cu­rity ar­rested a cit­i­zen with herbal ma­te­rial, along with rem­nants of a cig­a­rette. He was found wanted on debt cases. Sep­a­rately, Cap­i­tal po­lice ar­rested a cit­i­zen in an ab­nor­mal con­di­tion with eight pills sus­pected of be­ing Lyrica. An­other cit­i­zen was found wanted to serve a five-year jail sen­tence. He is also wanted for us­ing and trad­ing in drugs.


Mubarak Al-Kabeer se­cu­rity ar­rested six in­debted peo­ple, six ab­scon­ders and a roam­ing ven­dor. Six ve­hi­cles wanted by au­thor­i­ties and three other ve­hi­cles were im­pounded, and 20 peo­ple were given hu­man­i­tar­ian as­sis­tance. Sep­a­rately, Gen­eral se­cu­rity per­son­nel set up sev­eral check­points, re­sult­ing in the ar­rest of 13 per­sons in­clud­ing seven cit­i­zens and six ex­pats with drugs. A cit­i­zen was found wanted on a debt case.


The Traf­fic Depart­ment an­nounced the open­ing of a de­tour on the Sixth Ring Road at the in­ter­sec­tion with AlG­hous Street. The traf­fic light will be re­moved to­day morn­ing.
