Amir receives Education Minister, KU professors
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohammad Abdulatif Al-Fares and Kuwait University Director Dr Hussein Al-Ansari. His Highness the Amir also met Kuwaiti professor at Kuwait University Dr Salah Al-Najem who won the best e-learning project award at The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
Moreover, the meeting was attended by Kuwaiti professor at Kuwait University Dr Abdulmajed Safar from the Faculty of Science who came second with his project ‘Histonano.com’ at the World Summit on the Information Society Award 2015 (WSIS Project Prizes 2015). His Highness the Amir commended the Kuwaiti professors for their honoring awards, wishing them success in the service of Kuwait at regional and international levels.
Meanwhile, the professors expressed their appreciation for meeting His Highness the Amir, saying that his support for scientific research and knowledge reflects Kuwait’s pioneering role in the information communication technology (ICT) field. Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir received His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad AlSabah.
