KIB sponsors Al-Yarmouk Health Center awareness campaign
Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently sponsored the health awareness activities organized by Al-Yarmouk Health Center, which were aimed at introducing the local community to the new vaccinations that have been incorporated into the list of primary vaccinations for children in the State of Kuwait. The Bank’s sponsorship of this campaign came as part of its commitment towards strengthening the role of both government and civic society institutions in raising health awareness and promoting a preventative approach to healthcare
Held during the awareness week for Rotavirus and chicken pox, the campaign covered a large number of health centers across all governorates in the country. The campaign highlighted the various health benefits of these new vaccinations, detailing the number of vaccinations required as well as their schedules. Additionally, the campaign featured the distribution of a number of health awareness booklets, explaining the various types of vaccinations required for both children and adults.
Meanwhile, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, Nawaf Najia, commented: “We are always keen on participating in activities that aim at serving all segments of the community. As a leading financial institution, KIB has always focused on using its public platforms to shed light on some of the most important healthcare issues facing our society. The importance of immunization is definitely one of these issues, considering that it is truly a cornerstone of primary health care, and a key component towards ensuring a healthy society in the future.”
Additionally, Najia lauded the immense efforts made by the Ministry of Health and its commitment to continuously developing extensive preventive and curative programs to provide top-quality services for the community. He added that the adoption of these new vaccinations provides children with the necessary protection against dangerous diseases, enabling them to live a healthy, safe life throughout all stages by means of proper health care since birth.
