KIB spon­sors Al-Yar­mouk Health Cen­ter aware­ness cam­paign

Kuwait In­ter­na­tional Bank (KIB) re­cently spon­sored the health aware­ness ac­tiv­i­ties or­ga­nized by Al-Yar­mouk Health Cen­ter, which were aimed at in­tro­duc­ing the lo­cal com­mu­nity to the new vac­ci­na­tions that have been in­cor­po­rated into the list of pri­mary vac­ci­na­tions for chil­dren in the State of Kuwait. The Bank’s spon­sor­ship of this cam­paign came as part of its com­mit­ment to­wards strength­en­ing the role of both govern­ment and civic so­ci­ety in­sti­tu­tions in rais­ing health aware­ness and pro­mot­ing a pre­ven­ta­tive ap­proach to health­care

Held dur­ing the aware­ness week for Ro­tavirus and chicken pox, the cam­paign cov­ered a large num­ber of health cen­ters across all gov­er­norates in the coun­try. The cam­paign high­lighted the var­i­ous health ben­e­fits of these new vac­ci­na­tions, de­tail­ing the num­ber of vac­ci­na­tions re­quired as well as their sched­ules. Ad­di­tion­ally, the cam­paign fea­tured the dis­tri­bu­tion of a num­ber of health aware­ness book­lets, ex­plain­ing the var­i­ous types of vac­ci­na­tions re­quired for both chil­dren and adults.

Mean­while, Man­ager of the Cor­po­rate Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Unit at KIB, Nawaf Na­jia, com­mented: “We are al­ways keen on par­tic­i­pat­ing in ac­tiv­i­ties that aim at serv­ing all seg­ments of the com­mu­nity. As a lead­ing fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tion, KIB has al­ways fo­cused on us­ing its public plat­forms to shed light on some of the most im­por­tant health­care is­sues fac­ing our so­ci­ety. The im­por­tance of im­mu­niza­tion is def­i­nitely one of these is­sues, con­sid­er­ing that it is truly a cor­ner­stone of pri­mary health care, and a key com­po­nent to­wards en­sur­ing a healthy so­ci­ety in the fu­ture.”

Ad­di­tion­ally, Na­jia lauded the im­mense ef­forts made by the Min­istry of Health and its com­mit­ment to con­tin­u­ously de­vel­op­ing ex­ten­sive preven­tive and cu­ra­tive pro­grams to pro­vide top-qual­ity ser­vices for the com­mu­nity. He added that the adop­tion of these new vac­ci­na­tions pro­vides chil­dren with the nec­es­sary pro­tec­tion against dan­ger­ous dis­eases, en­abling them to live a healthy, safe life through­out all stages by means of proper health care since birth.
