Ed­u­ca­tion Min­is­ter hon­ors In­no­va­tion Com­pe­ti­tion win­ners

The Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion and Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Dr Mo­hammed Al-Faris hon­ored the win­ners of the Kuwait ‘Ibtikar’ In­no­va­tion Com­pe­ti­tion or­ga­nized by Al-Saad Foun­da­tion for Knowl­edge and Sci­en­tific Re­search in the pres­ence of the Chair­man of Al-Saad Foun­da­tion Sheikha Fa­dia Al-Saad Al-Ab­dul­lah Al-Salem Al-Sabah yes­ter­day. The stu­dents were hon­ored by the Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion for their in­ven­tions and sci­en­tific in­no­va­tions com­pet­ing lo­cally and re­gion­ally at the Gulf level.

Dr Mo­hammed Al-Faris said that the ef­forts ex­erted by Al-Saad Foun­da­tion con­trib­uted to the en­hance­ment of the tal­ents of the stu­dents through con­tin­u­ous train­ing and care, and that Al-Saad’s ini­tia­tive through Kuwait’s in­no­va­tion is a great ex­am­ple of achiev­ing sol­i­dar­ity and re­spon­si­bil­ity for the youth in the Kuwaiti so­ci­ety. He also thanked the stu­dents, teach­ers and su­per­vi­sors of the stu­dents for pro­vid­ing the nec­es­sary en­vi­ron­ment and fruit­ful co­op­er­a­tion that re­sulted in the suc­cess over three con­sec­u­tive years. He con­cluded that the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion will con­tinue to sup­port Kuwait In­no­va­tion Com­pe­ti­tion be­cause of its con­struc­tive im­pact on the process of ed­u­ca­tion.

The Chair­man of the Board of Di­rec­tors of Al-Saad Foun­da­tion, Sheikha Fa­dia Al-Saad Al-Sabah said that the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion’s recog­ni­tion in­di­cates that the in­no­va­tion com­pe­ti­tion in Kuwait has made a dif­fer­ence in the ed­u­ca­tional process through an ad­vanced method­ol­ogy which is in line with the world’s vi­sions. The Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion has ex­erted an in­tense at­ten­tion and the num­ber of par­tic­i­pants is in­creas­ing show­ing that the fruit­ful co­op­er­a­tion of both the sec­tor re­flected its im­pact on fe­male stu­dents. She said that this com­pe­ti­tion, which is spon­sored an­nu­ally by His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ah­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, aims to em­power women through in­vest­ing in girls ed­u­ca­tion and aims pri­mar­ily to de­velop prac­ti­cal skills that will help women in the fu­ture to en­ter into var­i­ous fields in the la­bor mar­ket.

The Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of Kuwait In­no­va­tion Ini­tia­tive Fa­tima Al-Hashim, thanked the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion for re­ceiv­ing and hon­or­ing the cre­ative stu­dents which had a pos­i­tive and mo­ti­va­tional ef­fect on them. She added that the ac­tiv­i­ties of the ini­tia­tive are var­ied and their com­pe­ti­tion is distin­guished in terms of sci­en­tific ma­te­rial and train­ing mech­a­nism based on pro­vid­ing the stu­dent with mul­ti­ple skills and stim­u­lat­ing think­ing. It is worth not­ing that the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion and Al-Saad Foun­da­tion for Knowl­edge and Sci­en­tific Re­search are in an agree­ment and that Al-Mabarra seeks to spread the cul­ture of sci­ence, knowl­edge and sus­tain­able de­vel­op­ment.
