Old woman, chil­dren res­cued from burn­ing house in Rabiya

Fire broke out in a Rabiya house yes­ter­day, prompt­ing fire­men from the Ardiya and Far­waniya fire sta­tions to re­spond. The fire was on the ground floor, while an el­derly woman and three chil­dren were trapped on the first floor. They were res­cued and sent to hos­pi­tal to be treated for smoke in­hala­tion. The fire was put out be­fore it could spread fur­ther. Sep­a­rately, a cit­i­zen suf­fered sev­eral bruises when his ve­hi­cle col­lided with trees near Al-Zour fire sta­tion. Paramedics took him to hos­pi­tal.

Un­li­censed cos­met­ics

The In­te­rior Min­istry’s Re­la­tions and Se­cu­rity In­for­ma­tion Depart­ment said res­i­dency de­tec­tives ar­rested three Asian women, two of whom have ar­ti­cle 20 res­i­dency per­mits (do­mes­tic helpers) and the third an ar­ti­cle 18 (pri­vate sec­tor em­ployee) visa, and charged them with trad­ing in un­li­censed cos­met­ics. They were sent to con­cerned au­thor­i­ties.
