Partial lunar eclipse expected next week

-

Sky-gazers in Kuwait should be on the lookout for a partial lunar eclipse on August 7th, Kuwait Science Club’s (KSC) department of astronomy said yesterday. The partial lunar eclipse, when only part of the moon’s surface is obscured by the center of the earth, will start at 8:21 pm local time and will remain in sight for around two hours, read a statement issued by the department. The astronomical phenomenon will be visible to the naked eye starting at 9:20 pm, the statement added. A total lunar eclipse, the most dramatic form of the astronomical wonder, occurs when the earth’s shadow falls directly on the moon.
