Kuwait seeks cooperation with French Gendarmerie
Acting Undersecretary of Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Major General Faleh Shujaa discussed yesterday with Colonel Bruno Gutierrez, the Qatarbased French military attachÈ, swapping expertise between the Guards and the French Gendarmerie. KNG said in a statement that the two sides discussed French support for Kuwait in its quest to attain membership in the Association of the European and Mediterranean Police Forces and Gendarmeries.
They also examined implementing the Kuwait National Guard’s Strategic Document for 2020, entitled ‘Security First,’ and designed to revamp all KNG units. The statement quoted Colonel Gutierrez as expressing satisfaction for the cooperation with the Guards since they endorsed a joint cooperation plan in training and armament last year. —KUNA
