-

KUWAIT: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) recently organized its annual blood donation campaign for its staff, hosting the Kuwait Central Blood Bank’s mobile unit for a one-day blood drive at its head office. The initiative came as part of the bank’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to promote general well-being across society, as it continues to encourage its employees to take an active role in giving back to their community whilst also promoting a healthconscious culture internally.

The blood donation campaign has become an annual tradition and a landmark component of KIB’s social responsibility program, reflecting the bank’s continuous commitment towards its local community.

Within this context, KIB has always sought to play an active role on the national landscape, not only as a financial institution, but as a socially-conscious corporate citizen as well.

“At KIB, we strongly believe in coming together to help people in need across the local community. We hope that by encouraging our employees to donate blood, we can also inspire others to contribute to this cause that can truly make a difference,” commented Nawaf Najia, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB.

“By cooperating with the Central Blood Bank, we managed to provide donations that will go towards filling gaps in the supply of certain blood types, which in turn can help save the lives of many in need.

With this campaign, we also sought to provide our employees with an opportunity to donate blood, given its many health benefits.”

Najia pointed out that the one-day event managed to attract an impressive turnout of volunteers from amongst KIB staff, lauding their efforts and their strong commitment to the bank’s social responsibility program and playing an active role in their community.

It serves to note that KIB is always keen on organizing a myriad of community-based social and humanitarian initiatives, under the umbrella of the bank’s all-encompassing social responsibility strategy, as well as its belief in its humanitarian responsibility to serve all segments of the community.
