Ooredoo participates in summer training program In collaboration with MGRP

Kuwait Times - - LOCAL -

Ooredoo, Kuwait’s fastest network, proudly received an award from the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) on the in a special awarding ceremony last week to conclude the summer training program, which was organized by the MGRP in collaboration with a number of private sector entities.

Ooredoo is participating in this program for the fifth consecutive year, reiterating its commitment as a private sector organization to the society, by taking an active role in training youth and providing them with the necessary tools to embark on their career journey. Commenting on this, Ooredoo Kuwait’s Chief Human Resources and Administrative Services Officer Omar Al-Bassam noted that Ooredoo’s involvement stems from its deep-rooted values of caring, connecting, and challenging.

He added in a statement, “We aspire to have a proactive role that leaves a big impact on society, especially with the youth segment which is one of the biggest and most important segments. We believe in empowering youth that is, in fact, one of our core values at Ooredoo, and we believe that giving them appropriate training before they begin their career can have a very positive impact on their future and in turn the future of our country. We’re also very proud to be giving students a very constructive and useful outlet for their talents and aspirations, especially during the summer.”

Students were given an orientation session followed by training in different departments across the organization over the period of several weeks. The training period included one-on-one training with Ooredoo Kuwait employees from different departments, in order to give trainees a clear understanding of the day-to-day business.

The Manpower and Government Restructuring Program honors Ooredoo.
