Al-Saad Foun­da­tion con­cludes Shay­oukha Club, hon­ors stu­dents

Al-Saad Foun­da­tion has con­cluded the sec­ond sum­mer pro­gram of Kuwait In­no­va­tion Ibtikar Shay­oukha Club in co­op­er­a­tion with man­power re­struc­tur­ing pro­gram. Al-Saad Foun­da­tion Chair­man Sheikha Fa­dia Al-Saad said in a press state­ment that “Shay­oukha Club” de­pends mainly on play-learn­ing method in a way that ex­ploits time and this at­tracts stu­dents from kin­der­garten, pri­mary and el­e­men­tary schools. She added say­ing that Shay­oukha sum­mer club aims pri­mar­ily at us­ing stu­dents’ free time at kin­der­garten, pri­mary and in­ter­me­di­ate stages through play- learn­ing and or­ga­niz­ing en­ter­tain­ment trips un­der the su­per­vi­sion of a spe­cial­ized women cadres in ad­di­tion to the dis­cov­ery of their sci­en­tific skills and the means of de­vel­op­ing them.

She said that Kuwait Ibtikar aims to trans­late the noble words of His High­ness the Amir that urged state bod­ies to take care of youths, adding that Kuwait Ibtikar has pro­vided var­i­ous pro­grams and com­pe­ti­tions through­out the year to in­vest the girls’ spare time. She pointed out that the sum­mer club is one of the distin­guished ac­tiv­i­ties launched by AlMabarah from a sci­en­tific vi­sion that as­pires to the fu­ture. The club of­fers a num­ber of ac­tiv­i­ties and pro­grams that are com­pat­i­ble with the in­ter­ests of chil­dren and young peo­ple that sup­port the phys­i­cal, psy­cho­log­i­cal, en­vi­ron­men­tal and so­cial needs and pro­vide them with tech­ni­cal skills and in­no­va­tion.

She stressed that the aim is to es­tab­lish the Kuwaiti na­tional iden­tity for chil­dren and young peo­ple and pro­vide an en­vi­ron­ment con­ducive to the growth of their per­son­al­i­ties and work to re­fine their tal­ents and fa­cil­i­tate their in­te­gra­tion into so­ci­ety to be ac­tive mem­bers. She also pointed out that it aims to de­velop so­cial sense and raise the value of col­lec­tive and vol­un­tary work and en­cour­age the au­to­matic ex­pres­sion and in­di­vid­ual and col­lec­tive cre­ations, link­ing them to so­ci­ety and in­still­ing na­tional loy­alty in the hearts of fe­male stu­dents.

Sheikha Fa­dia said that Kuwait In­no­va­tion ini­tia­tive of Al-Saad Foun­da­tion for Knowl­edge and Sci­en­tific Re­search is a Kuwaiti ini­tia­tive in­spired by the prin­ci­ples of His High­ness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAh­mad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and is based on his ap­proach to spread sci­ence and cul­ture with the progress of civ­i­liza­tion. She ex­plained that she is con­cerned with stu­dents in the field of sci­en­tific re­search and tal­ent and seeks to em­power to­mor­row’s woman by in­vest­ing in today’s stu­dents by dis­cov­er­ing their tal­ents, re­fin­ing and de­vel­op­ing them for the ben­e­fit of their com­mu­nity in Kuwait and other re­gional ar­eas.

In turn, the Di­rec­tor Gen­eral of the Ini­tia­tive (Ibtikar) Dr Fa­tima Al-Hashim said in a sim­i­lar state­ment that the sum­mer club aims to fill the leisure time of stu­dents from the age of 4 to 14 years and it in­cludes ed­u­ca­tional ac­tiv­i­ties of cre­ative as­pects. She added that the sum­mer pro­gram had in­cluded en­ter­tain­ment jour­neys and other con­struc­tive ac­tiv­i­ties that aimed de­velop the skills of the par­tic­i­pant girls and to get a cre­ative young gen­er­a­tion that can serve their coun­try. She pointed out that the Man­power re­struc­tur­ing pro­gram aims to pro­vide ap­pro­pri­ate train­ing for stu­dents to fa­mil­iar­ize them with the na­ture and re­quire­ments of work­ing at non-gov­ern­men­tal or­ga­ni­za­tions and pre­par­ing them to the la­bor mar­ket. At the end of the cer­e­mony the par­tic­i­pant stu­dents were hon­ored.
