Tyrants’ shallowness

- By Dr Khalid Al-Saleh

Tyrants own life, grant money, social status and posts to those of their choice. Did not Almighty Allah tell us about them: (Have you not thought about him who disputed with Abraham about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Abraham said (to him): “My Lord (Allah) is he who gives life and causes death”. He said, “I give life and cause death”. Abraham said, “Verily! Allah causes the sun to rise from the east; then cause it you to rise from the west”. So the disbeliever was utterly defeated. And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (Wrong-Doers) - Al-Baqarah: 258.

The tyrant’s will is what controls people’s destiny, who are ruled by them as said by the messenger of Allah. Abraham did not argue and took the dialogue to a level that is beyond controlling people; therefore, exposing the tyrant’s shallowness. As for the despot, and we have many of them in our Third World, where the tyrant and those who benefit from him, grant themselves titles and always look for being distinguished. Also, they sacrifice everything for the sake of keeping their rule, even if people’s dreams are lost or the nation’s interests are gone. It is normal that people use tongues, pens and TV stations in addition to social media to help the tyrant, though names may differ, but the meaning is one.

Reformists stand against the tyrants to defend equality, justice and freedom. Two different paths that never meet between tyrants and reformists, where a continuous struggle exists between the two that did not stop a moment ever since the human being existed on earth. The weak side in this struggle is the reformists, and if it was not for a divine power that controls the universe, corruption would eradicate the world and maybe the human being would disappear from the face of earth. Maybe one of the most important reasons for the weakness of reformists are groups of hypocrites pretending to reform and show values - but in truth, they are sincere soldiers of the tyrants who implement their agenda and work on distorting the reputation of the sincere.

Once again, if it was not our Almighty Lord’s will, the tyrants would have been the reformists with all what they have in the form of oppression, discrimination and injustice, and the struggle would stop and decided in their favor. I do not understand reform of reformists without religion, and I do not understand the religious without reform. The reformist needs Allah’s help in his reform march, and the religious need to adopt reform values so they can fulfill religious values - first of which are freedom, justice, equality, transition of power and freedom of choice.

I thank Almighty Allah that the dispute will be judged by our Lord on judgment day and justice, which was not known by most reformists in their short life, including Abdelrahman Al-Kawakibi, that justice which reformists did not realize in their earthly life will be realized by them in their eternal life. I thank Allah once again, that those who suppress people and cooperate for the sake of individual authority over the nation will harvest what their hands have sown once they find themselves as the most humiliated people when all meet so that each person finds his true place. The respected are those who lead the lines on the stage of justice, and the great are the winners in the eternal life, but as far the standards of the tyrants and their categorization on earth - it is without value whatsoever.
