‘Mentor for the youth’
Kuwait strives to support its youth and allow them the opportunity to translate their thoughts and desires into realities, said a minister yesterday. Speaking to reporters on World Youth Day, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan said that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has served as a “mentor for the youth.” Al-Roudhan, who is also Minister of Commerce and Industry, added that this integral demographic should be part and parcel of the nation’s development plans. The Kuwaiti minister underscored the need to allow youngsters the chance to hone their skills, and to assure them that the nation will spare no effort to meet their needs. He said that Kuwait being chosen as the “Arab Youth Capital 2017” was a special distinction that will bring with it a plethora of interesting and enjoyable festivities. AlRoudhan went on to describe the youth as a lynchpin of the country’s development and progress.
