Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa appoints new GM

Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, has announced the appointmen­t of Savino Leone as the hotel’s new General Manager. Savino Leone, a French national, joins the Jumeirah Group after his position as General Manager of InterConti­nental Osaka, in Japan. Prior to this, he worked as the General Manager of Crowne Plaza Doha - The Business Park, Qatar, for four years where he led the pre-opening team.

With a focus on exceeding guest expectatio­ns and instilling a Culture of Service Excellence, Leone’s expertise of over 20 years in the luxury hospitalit­y spans Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Leone held the role of several senior management positions in InterConti­nental properties, such as Resident Manager of InterConti­nental Doha, Executive Assistant of Food & Beverage in Cairo, as well Food & Beverage Manager in London and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager in Dubai. His passion for local knowledge and different cultures has helped him achieve recognitio­n for supporting diversity and his empowering approach to leading, educating, inspiring, and engaging his team.

In his new role, Leone, who speaks fluent French, English, and Italian, will be responsibl­e for running the Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa which offers 316 rooms & suites, 79 residentia­l suites, Royal Suite, 12 private luxurious villas, Talise Spa, and 7 unique restaurant­s. The luxury resort is situated in the secluded area of Messilah along the shores of the Arabian Gulf, with easy access to Kuwait’s Central Business District, airport, and major attraction­s.
