Awami Volunteer league Kuwait observes National Mourning Day
On August 15, 1975, The National Mourning Day, Father of the Bengali nation and the founding premier of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman along with most of his family members was brutally murdered on this darkest episode in 1975. Commemorating the National Mourning Day Awami Volunteer League Kuwait has met on a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil at Kuwait City on August 19, 2017.
Belal uddin General Secretary of Awami Volunteer League Kuwait presented the program and Mohammed Masud Karim the president of Awami Volunteer League Kuwait presided the program. Ashrak Ali Ferdous join Convener of Bangladesh Awami league Kuwait Adhoc Committee was the chief guest in the event.
Among the special guests were Rafiqul Islam Bhulu president of Awami foundation Kuwait, Jahangir Kader member secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Kuwait Adhoc Committee, Sultan Faruk, Giash Uddin and Adbul Aziz advisor of Awami Volunteer League Kuwait, Emam Uddin Badal president of Awami Jubo league Kuwait, Mohd. Hanif Miah president of Jatio Sromik League Kuwait, Awami League leader Sayed Mizanur Rahman, Shamsul Islam, Anisur Rahman Milon, Abul Hossain Shipon, Kamal Uddin, Babul Akter Noor president of Bornomala Cultural group.
The program commenced with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran, recited by Mowlana Moin Uddin. The one minute silence was observed in honor of the martyrs of August 15, 1975. Awami Volunteer League Kuwait President Mohammed Masud Karim, Chief guest Ashrak Ali Ferdous, all of special guests and Ashraful Azam organizing secretary, Sahadat Hossain Joint Secretary, Abdul Mannan, Abu Taher, Mohammed Yousuf vicepresident of Awami Volunteer League Kuwait delivered speeches highlighting the glorious achievements of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur Rahaman. Special prayer was offered seeking divine grace for the departed soul of Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur Rahaman and all the martyrs of August 15, 1975.
