Robot dog detects smelly feet

A company has invented a robot dog which faints when it detects smelly feet. Hana-chan is the creation of the National Institute of Technology Kitakyushu College, in Kyushu, who have been working on it for over two years. The toy dog, which has been made by their sister company NextTechnology, has a special sensor inside its nose and even sprays air freshener to make the bad pong fresher. NextTechnology’s Kimika Tsuji explained how a father’s idea came to life. He said: “He told us his daughter had said his feet were smelly. “But he didn’t want to know how bad the odor was because he would feel hurt. That’s why we developed this cute robot.” Police ‘severed arm’ report is false alarm Police were called to reports of a “severed hand” on a motorway - but it turned out to be plastic. Avon and Somerset Police were alerted to the cut up body part on Monday morning and jokingly offered “a hand” to anyone in need after finding out it was a false alarm. A tongue-in-cheek tweet on the constabulary’s official page read: “Call to say severed hand on motorway. Then confirmed by Highways. Officers take a look - plastic hand! #AnyoneNeedAHand (sic)”.

Man sets Guinness World Record with largest bee beard

A man has set the new Guinness World Record for the biggest bee beard.
