KFH launches integrated awareness campaign against breast cancer
KUWAIT: KFH organizes an awareness campaign against the perils of breast cancer in cooperation with Kuwait Cancer Center at Salaam Hospital. The campaign comes as part of its social role and its keenness to provide all means of assistance and support to any programs, services and activities aiming to develop society and its main sectors namely health sector.
The one month campaign aims to spread awareness among all women about the best means and methods of protection against breast cancer and the necessity to conduct an early check up to identify the symptoms and signs of the disease as early as possible. This may be conducted through information messages broadcasted via social media, awareness messages, awareness campaigns, seminars and other means to shed light on this acute disease which is spreading more day by day, due to lack of awareness, early checking and ignorance of the symptoms and signs of the disease and the means of cure if dealt with in early stages.
The campaign focuses on heavy crowds and gatherings at famous malls to ensure that the message shall reach all possible categories of society. The campaign comprises various activities e.g. audio and video messages through social media, live interviews and visits to medical centers to determine how far the disease has spread and means of resistance. Events include also seminars, lectures and exhibitions to spread awareness regarding breast cancer and its medical implications. Special seminars and lectures shall be organized for KFH employees (ladies) and their families.
KFH considers health issues as a priority. KFH has continued to support and foster several projects and initiatives in the field of health namely the major agreement to resist diabetes. KFH was the main participant among Kuwaiti companies in the International Diabetes Day events in cooperation with the diabetes unit at Ameeri Hospital and Dasman Diabetes Center. Also, KFH has organized several courses on first aid and blood donation and patronized several seminars and awareness campaigns against several diseases.
