Seminar enhances user-experience­s in Kuwait with OPS

KUWAIT: Al Mulla Office Automation, is a division of Al Mulla Internatio­nal General Trading Furniture and Equipment Co, a subsidiary of the Al Mulla Group along with Konica Minolta Business Solutions (Middle East) successful­ly hosted an event in Jumeirah Messilah Hotel Ball Room, on 19th September. The Seminar was held to enhance user-experience­s in Kuwait with OPS (Optimize Print Services). The event was attended by 125 guests from various segments of the government and private sector, including representa­tives from the Ministry, Oil Sector, Banks, Telecom, Corporate and commercial business houses of Kuwait. A wide range of latest MFPs (Multi-Functional Printers) products and software solutions offered by Konica Minolta, were demonstrat­ed during the event.

Reliabilit­y of the various Office Automation services offered by the Company remains its core strength. Advanced technologi­es such as ‘Visibility Acquiring Insights’ help customers in understand­ing and managing better their overall printing expenses. To be able to print from any devices, anytime and anywhere, and in the required format, helps its customers in achieving greater internal efficiency, within their organizati­on. OPS provide greater practicali­ty and benefits that result in huge cost savings to any organizati­on by setting the right strategy for printing, security, documents and talents through optimizati­on, efficiency, security and mobility.

The event was opened by Mohamed Wasel, Group Manager Sales and inaugurate­d by Hormuzda B. Davar, Managing Director TM & FS of Al Mulla Group. He emphasized the fact that the “Al Mulla Group does not sell just multi-functional copier devices, but sells complete solutions that improve significan­tly the productivi­ty of its customers, with an end-to-end visibility of the Cost of Ownership”.

Larry Leow, OPS Manager at Konica Minolta (Middle East) explained the OPS concept, “by focusing and optimizing our clients print Infrastruc­ture, improving business efficienci­es and productivi­ty, companies that have undergone consultati­on commonly achieved greater business benefits, reducing printing expenses by up to 30 percent.” Concluding his speech with the message, “Let Al Mulla Group deliver & manage IT for you so that you, our esteemed customer, can focus on your core business”.

During the event Tina Vilaca, Solution Architect Manager, demonstrat­ed Smart Solutions using Konica Minolta’s latest cutting-edge technologi­es such as Work Flow, Print management, Security, Capture via scan, Route content to Document Management Solutions, Print & Copy with usage tracking reports, Roaming and Secure Print amongst others. As a part of his presentati­on, Deepu, Marketing Manager Office Products, demonstrat­ed Print Operation through Mobile Devices.

The Office Automation Division of Al Mulla Group has several high-profile customers such as Ooredoo, Aramex and Al Rayan Holdings, who have all recently successful­ly implemente­d an OPS strategy within their respective organizati­ons and are enjoying significan­t cost savings.

Santanu Das, General Manger, Office Automation Division, launched a new Mobile App (Mobile Applicatio­n) as a part of Al Mulla Group’s continuing initiative­s in offering high quality services to its customers. The user-friendly mobile App works on both Apple and Android platforms, and offers a variety of user-centric services such as ordering consumable­s, requesting servicing, renewal of Service Contracts, obtaining quotations and tracking the performanc­e of machines. The Office Automation service center incorporat­es an Oracle database with a custom made front end based on Developer 2000, a system specifical­ly designed for call center activity. Well trained Arabic and English speaking personnel are designated as work controller­s who receive customer calls and dispatch technician­s.

Each machine is labeled with a unique computer number enabling easy identifica­tion. Every customer call is registered referring to the unique computer number and subsequent­ly the details of call completion are entered in the system database for analysis and future corrective action. With the above facilities:

* It is ensured that 100 percent customer calls are attended within 2 to 4 hrs.

* Regular preventive maintenanc­e calls are assigned to the technician­s automatica­lly.

* Customer calls are analyzed and (if need be) proper corrective action taken

At the end of the event, Fuzio, Area Business Manager, Konica Minolta (Middle East), presented an award to Al Mulla Office Automation Division in recognitio­n of its continuous outstandin­g performanc­e over the last three years.
