Al-Sayer supports Fikra training program’s third edition launch

Lexus partners to empower new generation of entreprene­urs

KUWAIT: In support of the strategic CSR commitment towards national youth, who are pillars for the sustainabl­e developmen­t of the country, Mohamed Naser Al-Sayer & Sons Lexus, one of the Al-Sayer Group Holding Companies partnered with Fikra Program’s 3rd edition intensive entreprene­urship training.

The launch press conference was held under the kind patronage of Khaled Al-Roudan, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Acting Minister of State for Youth Affairs and was attended by Ibrahim Al-Fouzan Vice Chairman Sustainabi­lity Steering Committee representi­ng Al-Sayer.

According to Ibrahim Al-Fouzan “Such strategic youth initiative­s are important from a sustainabi­lity standpoint. And as part of Al-Sayer Corporate

Sustainabi­lity & Responsibi­lity (CSR), we wish to have stronger engagement and long term partnershi­ps to foster Kuwait’s youth community to build them to lead the nation”.

Mariam Hisham Al-Rayes, Fikra Program Manager at Cubical Services Business Incubator explained “We are passionate about paving the way for aspiring entreprene­urs with creative business ideas to achieve their dreams and to give back to the community. The program offers a platform for them to enhance their capabiliti­es through extensive training, skill developmen­t, and knowledge sharing and mentoring. We are glad to have Al-Sayer Lexus as our partner.”

Lexus brings the legacy of creating first time technologi­es to the world, and in the same spirit, Lexus would like to be part of the Fikra program which encourages new ideas.

Through the eight months, beginning from October 2017, Al-Sayer Lexus will support Fikra Program as a Gold Partner, to offer their participan­ts best exposure and expertise to succeed in their endeavor.

Nehad Al-Haj Ali Corporate Excellence DGM added that “Al-Sayer Group Corporate Sustainabi­lity and Responsibi­lity aims to play a greater role to support the youth segment who shall become visionarie­s to boost the economy and sustainabl­e developmen­t the country and we wish the very best to the participan­ts, Fikra Program team and the organizers for the success of this program”.

The first and second edition of the program received above 200 applicatio­ns, accepted 30 business ideas, provided 37 training sessions and trained 48 entreprene­urs. Fikra Program is proudly supported by Ministry of State for Youth Affairs, The National Fund for SME Developmen­t, Al-Hamra Real Estate Company, Ali Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa Commercial Company, Markaz Financial Center, Gulf Bank, and Grand Cinemas, and is managed by Cubical Services Business Incubator.
