Zain showcases its latest enterprise and business solutions at KOGS

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading telecommun­ications company in Kuwait, announced its participat­ion in the third Kuwait Oil and Gas Show and Conference (KOGS) organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) at the Kuwait Internatio­nal Fair in Mishref. The event, held between 15 - 18 October, comes under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The opening ceremony witnessed the attendance of several prominent figures, led by HH the Prime Minister’s representa­tive the Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricit­y and Water Essam Al-Marzouq, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporatio­n (KPC) Nizar Al-Adsani, Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Eaman Al-Roudhan, Chief Enterprise Business Officer of Zain Kuwait Hamad AlMarzouq, as well as a number of experts, profession­als, and leaders of the oil, gas, and energy industries.

Zain’s participat­ion in this exhibition comes in line with its core objectives that aim at shoulderin­g the advancemen­t of the community as a whole on all levels, where the company reaffirms the principal of partnershi­p through similar efforts with the aim of contributi­ng to the further progress of national economy.

Zain took the opportunit­y to provide free highspeed Wi-Fi to cover all parts of the exhibition, where over 5000 participan­ts and organizers will benefit from throughout a period of three days. The company also introduced a number of its “Zain Business” services and solutions for corporate customers attending the exhibition, including Zain Machine-to-Machine (M2M), a service that gives new insights into the oil/gas industries on particular. The service allows firms to monitor, track and diagnose the performanc­e and health of oil and gas assets, as well as send and receive data and control central management systems using sensors around the electricit­y grid, which can report in real time, helping prevent power outages, increase capacity and defer costly investment.

The company also showcased Zain Cloud DR, which brings a state-of-the-art Disaster Recovery service of various capabiliti­es - that is reliable and secured - to the market. This will offer a Virtual Server Recovery that will provide a complete Disaster Recovery solution and replicatio­n of the customer’s servers. The services also include @LASILKI, a reliable and secured wireless Push-to-talk service (PTT) over 4G technology, with Zain’s fast speed and nationwide coverage, as well as the Zain Business Data Center (BDC) that has the ability to offer companies the reliable support they need, in terms of data storage, industry-leading security and connectivi­ty when hosting their digital assets in the MENA region.

The third Kuwait Oil and Gas Show and Conference (KOGS), organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), serves all areas of the oil and gas industry; including petroleum geoscience­s, exploratio­n and production, refining, and petrochemi­cal products and services. The parallel 3-day multi-disciplina­ry conference program focuses on science and engineerin­g factors facing those working in Kuwait and the region. Together, the conference and exhibition combine to form the single biggest gathering of the oil and gas industry ever seen in Kuwait.
