Ooredoo announces new Breast Cancer awareness campaign
Fifteen minutes is all it takes
KUWAIT: Ooredoo Kuwait announced the launch of its Breast Cancer awareness campaign under the title of “Fifteen Minutes” where it shows women that it only takes that amount of time to check themselves and make a difference. This campaign is aligned with Ooredoo’s value of caring and also the strategy of empowering women; as women are one of the main pillars for Ooredoo Kuwait. In collaboration with Al-Seef hospital; Ooredoo Kuwait will also be giving all women 30 percent off on their annual mammograms until the end of the year.
Commenting on this initiative Mijbil Alayoub, Senior Director at Ooredoo Kuwait stressed that Ooredoo emphasizes its commitment towards women as they play a major role in the community and are also a main pillar of the society. “We are proud to collaborate with Al-Seef hospital; one of the leading health providers in Kuwait; to provide women with the best technology in health care. Women are our sisters; our mothers and our daughters who take up almost 50 percent of our society and more importantly our hearts.” Adding to this statement Al-Ayoub said “we are always proud to collaborate with other reputable institutes and entities to support our society.”
Ooredoo Kuwait’s building has one of the most technologically advanced screens in Kuwait which is used throughout the year to showcase many events and products. This month the screens have been painted pink to symbolize the breast cancer awareness ribbon.
TV presenter Hessa Al-Loghani and Social Influencer Bashayer Al-Shaibani have also taken part in this campaign by starring in the social media ad. The ad shows women how long their daily activities take in comparison to their annual checkup which is only fifteen minutes of their time. It can be viewed on all of Ooredoo Kuwait’s social channels (Twitter; YouTube and Instagram). This campaign is just one of Ooredoo Kuwait’s corporate commitments in contributing to society throughout its yearlong program of CSR activities.
