NBK, KRCS conclude educational campaign
KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) concluded ‘Educate for a Brighter Kuwait’ campaign to help parents pay their children’s tuition fees. This fund raising campaign received donations for 4,295 students. The campaign has launched an exhibition at The Avenues Mall and received donations from citizens and expats. Also the donations were accessible online through KRCS’s website.
The ‘Educate for a Brighter Kuwait’ project was launched for the third consecutive year. It aims at nurturing and educating children. The project offers the financial support to nonKuwaiti families with low income who are unable to afford the education of their children in Kuwait. Manal Al-Mattar, NBK Public Relations Assistant General Manager and Lama Al-Othman, KRCS Human Resources Development Manager expressed their sincere appreciation for all those who participated in support for the project.
Mattar expressed her sincere appreciation to Kuwait Red Crescent Society for its active and prompt response and efforts to help children who are in need for safety and education. “This sponsorship reflects NBK’s commitment toward corporate social responsibility,” Mattar said. “NBK is keen to support various private and public humanitarian missions and aid groups in their efforts to help children and families in need.”
Meanwhile, Othman said that the campaign covered 500 students in its first year, while it succeeded to achieve the support for 2,500 students in its second year. We are proud that we have received donations to pay the tuition fees for 4295 student this year. Othman added that KRCS looks forward to coordinate with national institutions such as NBK to achieve relevant humanitarian and development projects in Kuwait.
