Holiday Inn Salmiya appoints new director of sales and marketing
The Holiday Inn Kuwait - Salmiya Hotel announces the appointment of Tarek Honein, the new Director of Sales and Marketing. In his new role, Tarek’s core responsibilities will include maximizing hotel’s revenues through implementing smart sales and marketing strategies and exploring business opportunities through a deep market intelligent approach.
A result oriented professional, brings a wealth of experience to this position with a career spanning over 10 years in the hospitality experience and extensive knowledge of the Rooms and MICE sales and marketing in the GCC along to an advanced exposure to the sustainable tourism best practices in Sweden.
Prior to starting at the Holiday Inn, he worked as the Cluster Marketing and communications manager for the Carlson Rezidor Hotels Group in Saudi Arabia. Other experiences include Director of Sales and Marketing for the Park Inn by Radisson Al-Khobar and Assistant Director of Sales for the InterContinental Hotels Group in Khobar and Bahrain.
He received a degree in Political Science and International relations from the Lebanese University in 2003 and later he pursued his studies and earned his two Master degrees in Political science; Leadership and strategy from La Sagesse University in 2005 and the second in Tourism Studies from the Mid Sweden University in 2017. ‘’Tarek is an excellent addition to the team; his experience and expertise make him the perfect fit for the job.
