Capital Governor visits Kuwait Credit Bank
KUWAIT: Capital Governor Lt Gen Thabit AlMuhanna visited Kuwait Credit Bank yesterday in Kuwait City along with a delegation of seven regional mayors. Muhanna was received by Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Minister of State for Utilities Affairs Yasser Abul and the Director General of Kuwait Credit Bank Salah Al-Mudhaf. The bank’s spokeswoman Habari Khashti said the visit aimed to inform the governor and the mayors about the work mechanism of the bank, the services it provides and the development witnessed in providing services electronically online.
She said Mudhaf accompanied the delegation on an inspection tour of various departments and sections of the bank to learn more about real estate, social and portfolio loans - from the submission of the loan’s request, the audit, completing the necessary documents and the engineering disclosure on the coupon or property to transfer the loan to the beneficiary citizen’s bank account.
Khashti stressed that the bank’s management pays great attention to youth and always seeks to overcome all difficulties and get over the obstacles that stand in their way. He noted they were and are still at the heart of all the plans and strategies set by senior management to support and provide them with expertise to qualify them for the future.
Meanwhile, Mudhaf briefed the delegation during the tour on the qualitative shift made by the bank in recent years, and included significant changes to the bank’s transformation into a modern institution that keeps pace with the latest developments in e-government applications. The largest and most extensive electronic linking operation between the bank and relevant institutions and bodies has been completed to save the time and effort of the client.
Mudhaf confirmed that the bank is in the forefront of government institutions that initiated the application of law no. 20 of 2014 on electronic transactions, where the citizen can access services as soon as he signs in with his electronic signature. He explained that the modernization process was not limited to the technical aspect, but included the development of many of the bank’s regulations, especially the lending list, in order to facilitate lending procedures and reduce the documentary cycle.
He referred to the project of maintenance and development of the headquarters building that was completed, as well as the development and maintenance of the Granada branch which is currently being implemented in full swing and is due to be launched in 2020. He explained that all these projects are part of the expansion of the bank in order to reach the citizen wherever he is, and also provide more job opportunities to newly-graduated Kuwaiti youth. Muhanna praised the work mechanism of Kuwait Credit Bank, and asked the mayors to take the bank as a great example of development by adopting the latest technology.
