New Cabinet members take oath of office before Amir
Sheikh Sabah calls on ministers to work as one team
KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah received at the Amiri Airport yesterday, in the presence of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who presented to the Amir his government’s ministers who took oath before the Amir on the occasion of their appointment in their new posts.
HH the Amir delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he welcomed and congratulated the new members of the Cabinet, appreciating their acceptance to take part in the new lineup. Sheikh Sabah welcomed the tremendous efforts exerted by the prime minister in the formation of the Cabinet, hailing at the same time efforts of the previous ministers who had worked tirelessly in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted upon them, wishing them all the best.
The Amir added that the new government formation comes amidst critical internal and external challenges that require wisdom and farsightedness to deal with, in addition to doubling efforts in order to address such critical circumstances for the best interests of the homeland and its people. He also called on the new ministers to work as a one team based on cooperation, confidence and mutual respect between the legislative and executive branches, saying he was fully confident that the ministers will be able to achieve best interests of the dear homeland and citizens, wishing peace, stability and prosperity to prevail.
The prime minister responded to HH the Amir’s speech by thanking him for the confidence entrusted upon himself and the rest of the government members, especially amidst these critical circumstances, expressing his appreciation. “We will work hard to be fit for it,” Sheikh Jaber vowed. The premier asserted that such challenges and dangers facing the region require that efforts be doubled in order to address such challenges in order to achieve the ambitions of the dear homeland and its people. He also expressed commitment to work tirelessly with his colleagues to fulfill their oath, thanks to the noble directives of the Amir, saying that the government will work positively with the National Assembly to achieve the sought-after ambitions.
