Boursa Kuwait supports educational initiatives by endorsing Q8 open quiz 2017

KUWAIT: Building on its CSR portfolio, Boursa Kuwait has participated at the Q8 Open Quiz Show 2017, held on the 24th of November 2017. The show is an annual signature event organized by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) Alumni, and is open to all nationalities.

Eman Ali, Executive Director - Strategic Transformation and CEO Office, represented Boursa Kuwait at the event, a gesture that reflects its commitments to supporting educational initiatives conveying the importance of this function in elevating the overall performance metrics of communities in the Kuwaiti market.

Boursa Kuwait’s CSR strategy focuses on providing the necessary support to the different segments of the society, in various areas such as children care, health, environment, social development, providing job opportunities to young Kuwaitis and give them an opportunity to excel and shine in their areas of expertise, educating the society through various forums, seminars & internship programs, investing in our employees and provide them with an ideal work environment.

The show is supported by Indian Business & Professional Council, with a directive to promote economic co-operation between Kuwait and India, and to provide a platform for interaction between Kuwaitis, Indians and other foreign residents.

The Open is hosted by acclaimed and popular Quiz master from India - Giri Balasubramaniam well known as Pickbrain. Giri holds seven Limca records for quizzing achievements and has hosted more than 1250 shows across 65 destinations of India, USA, Sri Lanka, Singapore, London and the Middle East Region.

The inaugural 2014 as well as 2015 events were resounding successes with more than 100 teams (3 members a side) from 10 nationalities participating for the Crown. Following last year’s success which marked the participation of more than 30 international schools and more than 1500 audience attendances during the finals, this year’s edition continued to mark a grand success.

The IIT IIM Alumni Association in Kuwait is an association of alumni of the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Registered as a professional association with the Embassy of India in Kuwait, the association functions under the auspices of the Ambassador of India to Kuwait as its patron. The Association represents a vast blend of talent and experience from very senior executives to the high energy of youngsters who have just embarked on their professional journeys.

In-line with its CSR strategy, Boursa Kuwait’s team has recently conducted a visit to Bayt Abdullah Children’s Hospice - BACCH and presented gifts to children, the company has also hosted schools and universities students to raise their awareness on the history and future of Kuwait stock exchange. Additionally, and conducted health driven activities for its employees. Boursa Kuwait keep on hosting educational workshops, seminars and forums targeting different stakeholders.
