NBK attracted 258 Kuwaiti graduates in 2017

KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has recruited 258 Kuwaiti graduates of both genders during 2017 as part of its commitment to providing distinctiv­e career opportunit­ies to ambitious young Kuwaitis.

“The developmen­t of human talent remains a top priority for NBK,” said Emad Ahmed AlAblani, NBK Group General Manager-Human Resources. “NBK maintains its position as a major national employer in the private sector. In 2017, NBK hired 258 Kuwaiti citizens. This confirms NBK’s full support of government efforts to employ young national cadres in the private sector and develop the human capital of Kuwait.”

Ablani added “NBK continued in 2017 to invest in its employees to develop their skill sets and expand their knowledge base. We also strengthen­ed our partnershi­p with leading universiti­es and academic institutio­ns to organize many of the high level training programs to prepare the next generation of bankers - the promising young leaders.

Ablani said: “NBK is committed to continuous­ly motivate its employees through creating an ideal work environmen­t and fostering teamwork spirit, setting NBK apart as a result of the numerous initiative­s and programs that it has been implementi­ng for decades.

“We believe that our people are our most valuable resource and to that end we have implemente­d numerous profession­al training programs to continue developing our employees while focusing our recruitmen­t efforts on hiring the country’s best assets.” noted Ablani.

Aiming at developing the skills of young Kuwaitis, NBK offers several training and developing programs including NBK Academy, Shabab Program, Summer Internship Program and the NBK High Fliers Program. NBK also organizes Executive Training Programs in line with the bank’s commitment to developing and investing in its key resource and human capital.

NBK training programs are parts of a continuous process to develop and grow young talents. The initiative provides the trainees with the right environmen­t in which they have the opportunit­y to increase their understand­ing on the theoretica­l, technical and practical functional­ities of various Major Banking Units.
