Inspire race series holds sold out ‘Road Run’

KUWAIT: The third race of the ‘Be Inspired Series ‘hosted by Inspire Sahara and sponsored by Gulf Bank took place on Dec 2 at Sahara Golf Club. The Road Race had two distance categories (7.2 km and 14.4km) to appeal to different fitness enthusiast­s and was sold out days before the event. Three hundred people participat­ed in the event which was organized by Pro-Vision Sports Management.

Post-race, three winners of both male and female categories were announced, Ahmad Bakri and Taiba Al Nouri were announced as the first-placewinne­rs of the 7.2 km race while Abdul Rahman Al Kandery and Renata Hoppova were announced the first-placewinne­rs of the 14.4 km. Commenting on the race and the Inspire Series, Ms Laila Al-Qatami, Assistant General Manager for Corporate Communicat­ions at Gulf Bank said: “We are proud to be part of the Be Inspired series and to see Kuwait’s growing fitness community come out for the day. With such high rates of obesity and diabetes in our country, it is heartening to see people from all different background­s participat­ing in fitness and exercise events. Only in its second year, the BeInspired Series continues to grow in size and stature, we are pleased to be partnering with Inspire Gym in this unique series of events. Congratula­tions to the winners and we look forward to welcoming you to the next event, a Mud Run on 27 January.” Promoting health and fitness is a key pillar of Gulf Bank’s corporate social responsibi­lity strategy.
