Khalid Al-Roudhan, Fulaiteh honoured
KUWAIT: Commerce and Industry Minister, State Minister for Youth Affairs Khalid Al-Roudhan said a local sports conference will be held to unify opinions through attracting all opinions and avoid any misunderstandings to bring sports back to its right path.
Al-Roudhan who spoke during an honoring ceremony for him and for President of Public Authority for Sports Dr Humoud Fulaiteh said the conference organization will be the responsibility of Kuwait Club board member Maan Al-Rahseed due to his vast experience in this regard. Al-Roudhan said Kuwait was in a joyous mood these days especially after lifting the ban on football, that was followed by deciding to hold the 23rd Gulf Cup here in Kuwait at the wish of HH the Amir. He added that organizing such an event in nine days remains difficult but Kuwaitis are used to such challenges. Meanwhile, Acting Director General of PAS Dr Humoud Fulaiteh said Kuwait was the only loser during the past disputes, and this calls everyone to forget internal differences and concentrate on serving Kuwait. Fulaiteh thanked all those who contributed to lifting the ban be them MPs through approval of the new law, adding that the most important role was that of the clubs administrations who re-wrote things as required. He said all to concentrate on what is coming for the future of Kuwait sport through positive interaction with the Gulf Cup tournament. Meanwhile Deputy Chairman of Kuwait Football Association Sheikh Fawaz Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah said everybody suffered from the ban especially at the football level, which restored its life after the cruel ban was lifted, then the approval of organizing the Gulf tournament. He said Kuwait sports is now on the right path after approving the new sports law, which should make positive changes at the development of clubs and players, under the “professionality” system that it introduced.
