Uzbek cultural exhibition held at Ahmad Al-Adwani Art Gallery
The National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) inaugurated yesterday the Uzbek cultural exhibition. Held at Ahmad Al-Adwani Art Gallery in Abdullah Al-Salem, the event took place in cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan, as part of the Uzbek cultural week. Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kuwait Dr Bakhromjon Aloev and NCCAL Secretary General Ali Al-Yoha, cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition in presence of ambassadors, officials and the media.
Ambassador Aloev announced that this is the first ‘Uzbek Week’ event in Kuwait, which concludes today. “It is with great satisfaction that we launch this initiative this year when Kuwait is the capital of the Islamic culture, and thanks to the vision of His Highness the Amir, great importance is being given to the development of cultural relations,” the envoy said. Art and culture are the link that connects countries to each other, he noted, adding that the event aims to bring more Uzbek culture to Kuwait, concentrating during a week on a range of art exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and several activities to increase the excellent relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait.
“We wish that this initiative will attract the enthusiastic participation of our Kuwaiti friends,” Aloev said. “Special thanks go, first of all, to the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, for the important support in the organization of three beautiful concerts. Then to our generous sponsors, who helped us make this Uzbek Week come true.”
