Huawei key player in digital transformation: KDIPA official
KUWAIT: Mohammed Yacoub, Assistant Director General for Business Development, Kuwait Direct Investment Public Authority (KDIPA), said that activities of Huawei Technologies are impressive. “It’s great to see that Huawei Technologies, despite being a foreign company, is holding all these useful activities including the ICT Skill Competition, that helps in digital transformation. This is one of the main goals of KDIPA,” he told the Kuwait Times yesterday.
This event gathered many experts from the public and private sectors under one roof. “These experts can discuss the future of technology in Kuwait. Also the programs hosted by Huawei, served as a model for other companies in terms of transforming and localizing technology,” he added.
“Such activities and programs encourage young people to invent in new enterprises. All three programs held by Huawei including establishing the technology center at the Hamra Tower, holding Seeds program in cooperation with the Kuwait University, and the ICT Skill Competition, encourage young people to be creative and improve their skills. This will result in a completely new generation of technology experts,” explained Mohammed Yacoub. Today, technology is critical to all investments. “Huawei is excelling in all kind of technologies and is motivating the youth. It plays a key role in the market as a foreign investor in Kuwait,” he concluded.
