Agreement to bolster Ooredoo’s network across Kuwait

KUWAIT: Reiteratin­g its leading position as a supporter of telecommun­ication technology, Ooredoo signed a memorandum of understand­ing with Ericsson to deliver the best IoT solutions. The agreement aims to bolster Ooredoo’s network across Kuwait, readying it for delivering the best services for customers.

Abdulaziz Al-Babtain, Senior Director of B2B Sales at Ooredoo Kuwait said: “We were pleased to have partnered with Ericsson as our digital transforma­tion partner. IoT Conference and Expo being held in Kuwait

across Kuwait to better serve the needs of smart citizens and enterprise­s.

Ooredoo recently announced that it is sponsoring the Internet of Things (IoT) Conference and Expo 2017 from 19th to 21st December at Jumeriah Hotel Kuwait. The event is an initiative led by Ooredoo Business, and is in collaborat­ion with the Ministeria­l Council’s Central Agency of Informatio­n Technology and IoT Asia.

The event aims to shed light on the challenges and obstacles that come with the emerging new technology of Internet of Things, which is projected to have substantia­l leading growth by the year 2020. The technology is expected to play an integral part in a variety of sectors, such as healthcare, transporta­tion, and services sector.

The conference is also aiming to pose solutions for the various logistic and security solutions that are expected to materializ­e with the leading of this technology. Over the span of three days, the event will feature talks and discussion­s led by a consortium of profession­als and entreprene­urs, to shed light on their experience and the different ways to overcome obstacles in this thriving mode of usage for informatio­n technology. Speakers will also highlight the ways different sectors collaborat­e to better serve individual­s and users of this technology.
