KFH participates in 24th WIBC
KUWAIT: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated in the 24th Annual World Islamic Banking Conference WIBC themed “Drivers of Economic Growth and Risks: Policy Makers & Regulators” held in Bahrain Under the patronage of Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
KFH’s participation as a platinum strategic partner for the 3rd consecutive year comes as part of its ongoing commitment towards taking part in the international financial forums that seek to improve Islamic banking and underscore the importance of this industry regionally and globally. The forum is considered to be a leading financial intelligence platform and was attended by many local and regional experts in the Islamic finance industry.
KFH participated in several discussion panels in collaboration with Central Bank of Bahrain in the presence of Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj- Governor of CBB.
The conference saw the launch of a consortium dedicated to research & development in the sharia-compliant Fintech sector. KFH Bahrain, Al Baraka Banking Group and Bahrain Development Bank set up Algo Bahrain that aims to support the regional Islamic banking sector by developing fintech products and other innovative, sharia-compliant banking solutions. The company’s plan is to launch 15 new fintech products or platforms within the next five years.
The WIBC aims to develop and strengthen the Islamic finance industry by making it more competitive and attractive for clients worldwide. The event has emerged as a global forum for communicating the values of Islamic banking to a wider audience.
