KJA lauds successful Gulf Cup
KUWAIT: The sports media committee at Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) congratulated Kuwait for the success of the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup, which concluded on Friday. Kuwait earned much respect and high praise from Gulf media, officials and fans for the success and good organization of the tournament, the committee said in a press statement.
“Kuwait’s hosting of the championship in a short notice indicates the outstanding efforts of Kuwaitis in such events,” Committee Rapporteur Nasser Al-Enezi said, expressing appreciation for the major role of all those who contributed to the success, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who ordered that all facilities be employed to ensure the tournament’s success.
Enezi also lauded the role of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad AlSabah for following up with all affairs pertaining with the championship. He also thanked the Higher Organizing Committee chaired by Deputy Premier and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, Commerce and Industry Minister and State Minister for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan, as well as Public Authority for Sport and Kuwait Football Association officials for their “outstanding efforts that were reflected through the procedures of providing participating teams with all their requirements.”
Enezi also lauded the role of the Interior Ministry in keeping security and order, while organizing entry and exit of fans. He also thanked the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for the well reception of fans and facilitating their smooth entry to the country.
Finally, he lauded the role of the Information Ministry and the efforts of television and radio personnel in broadcasting the matches.
