KNES year 2 winter concert: ‘Change the World’

-

Kuwait National English School recently opened its doors to host the Year 2 Winter Concert in the newly refurbished Al Faraby School Theatre. The theme of the concert was “Change the World” which is in keeping with our schools mission statement and philosophy and our school’s involvement in the UNESCO project on Climate Change initiated by its headquarters in Paris. The evening comprised a variety of musical acts including songs, dances and an opening percussion ensemble by talented pupils from Year 2, which was the highlight of the evening. Pupils, in vivid and colorful costumes, paid tribute to our earth home, with particular focus on preserving the beauty of our world through song and dance.

Our school Director, Madame Chantal Al Gharabally, highlighted various issues and challenges facing our world. She further stated that our mission and focus at Kuwait National English School was in educating our little ones not only through lessons in the classroom, but also through regular assemblies and other forums to be aware of their responsibility towards tackling these issues and challenges, thereby sending off well-rounded, responsible and fully-fledged young men and women to take their rightful places in society. It was a wonderfully festive evening enjoyed by staff, pupils and parents. Madame Chantal thanked all who attended the concert and congratulated our very talented performers, staff and the music teachers for the success of the evening.
