Al Mulla Exchange holds seminar on Indian budget 2018

KUWAIT: Al Mulla Exchange along with the Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountant­s of India hosted a seminar on the Indian budget 2018 at the Crowne Plaza, Farwaniya on 05th Feb 2018.

Tushar Arora, Senior Economist at HDFC Bank and CA Kirit Mehta Tax Expert and Senior Partner at G.P. Kapadia & Co were the keynote speakers at the event presenting details and insights on the Indian Budget.

The event started sharp at 06:00pm with a welcome speech by Hormuzda Davar, Managing Director of Trading, Manufactur­ing and Financial Services, Al Mulla Group. Tushar Arora took the audience through the broad features of the budget vis-a-vis the global economy. Kirit Mehta on the other hand gave a detailed analysis on how the budget affects the different sectors and more specifical­ly from the perspectiv­e of the NRIs. As a tax expert he also dwelled on tax amendments, directions to the Indian Economy, Economic and Financial Impact for the NRIs as well as the Other Tax Issues Including Planning for Managing Wealth.

The seminar was followed by a lively question and answer session where the queries of the attendees were answered in full satisfacti­on by the speakers. Following the Q&A was the vote of thanks given by Shakir Kaizar of the Institute of Chartered Accountant­s (ICAI), Kuwait Chapter.
