PITTSBURGH: Sidney Crosby scored twice, including his 400th career goal, and the Pittsburgh Penguins dominated the host St. Louis Blues 4-1 on Sunday. Crosby, who ended a 10-game scoreless drought, has 19 goals on the season. The two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Penguins are surging toward the playoffs and have won 12 of their past 17 games. Penguins goalie Matt Murray came up huge with 33 saves on 34 shots. He is 5-0-1 in his last six decisions. Kyle Brodziak had the only goal for the Blues, who saw their threegame winning streak end.
SHARKS 3, DUCKS 2 (SO)
Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture scored in a shootout to cap the Sharks’ rally from a two-goal, third-period deficit, helping San Jose win at Anaheim. San Jose goalie Martin Jones stopped Adam Henrique’s slapper to start the shootout and got help from the goalpost, which stoned Rickard Rakell’s attempt in the second round. Couture buried his attempt to end the tiebreaker. Jones finished with 25 saves for San Jose, while John Gibson made 37 saves for Anaheim. The Sharks forced overtime when Timo Meier bagged his
14th marker of the season at 19:06 of the third period.
FLYERS 4, GOLDEN KNIGHTS 1 Sean Couturier had a goal and two assists, and Michal Neuvirth made 38 saves to lead Philadelphia to a road victory over Vegas. Andrew McDonald, Claude Giroux and Radko Gudas also scored for the Flyers, who won for the fourth straight time. Neuvirth improved to 7-7-2 this season with his second victory in 24 hours after prevailing in relief during a 4-3 shootout win at Arizona on Saturday night. Brayden McNabb scored the lone goal for Western Conferenceleading Vegas, which fell to 19-4-2 at home and lost back-to-back games at T-Mobile Arena for the first time in the team’s young history.
BRUINS 5, DEVILS 3
Adam McQuaid scored the go-ahead goal to lead visiting Boston to a win over New Jersey. Torey Krug scored two goals to lead Boston, which has won four of five and 10 of 12. The Devils dropped their fourth consecutive game, and with the slide, they find themselves in fourth place in the Metropolitan Division. Patrice Bergeron added an insurance goal with 39 seconds left in the game. Boston won despite losing the shots-on-goal battle 38-27.
AVALANCHE 5, SABRES 4
Colin Wilson scored the 100th goal of his NHL career and added an assist as Colorado used five different marksmen to win at Buffalo. Jonathan Bernier made 28 saves as the Avalanche snapped a two-game losing skid. Colorado scored early in all three periods against a Buffalo squad that was without leading goal-scorer and point-producer Jack Eichel, who is expected be sidelined four to six weeks due to an ankle injury.

FLAMES 3, ISLANDERS 2 Matthew Tkachuk scored his second goal of the third period to snap a tie with 1:05 left, lifting Calgary to a come-from-behind win over host New York. Mark Jankowski also scored for the Flames, who trailed 2-0 in the second period before winning for the fourth time in five games. Calgary goalie Mike Smith made 23 saves but was injured sprawling for a last-ditch shot by John Tavares in the waning seconds. Smith had to be helped off the ice, and David Rittich came in for the final faceoff with 1.1 seconds left.
CANUCKS 6,
STARS 0 Vancouver scored four goals in the first 25 minutes and ended a four-game losing streak with a blowout victory at Dallas. The Stars, who came into the day on a seasonbest-tying, five-game winning streak, played their third game in a four-day span and performed on both offense and defense as if they needed some time off. The Canucks won for just the sixth time in 18 games (611-1). Jacob Markstrom turned away 30 Dallas shots to earn his second shutout of the season.
RED WINGS 5, CAPITALS 4 (OT) Tomas Tatar scored his second goal of the game with 2:13 left in overtime, giving Detroit a victory at Washington. Tatar took a cross-ice pass from Dylan Larkin and slid a backhander past Washington goalie Braden Holtby for the game-winning goal. Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist for the Capitals. Jimmy Vesey scored with 3:53 remaining in the third period to break a tie as New York beat host Winnipeg. Vesey scored his 11th goal after missing the previous three games due to a concussion sustained Feb. 3. Michael Grabner added an empty-net goal for New York, getting his seventh such tally a few minutes after hitting a post on a breakaway. The Rangers won consecutive games for the first time since beating Philadelphia and Buffalo at home in mid-January. The Jets lost consecutive home games for the first time all season.
