KIB sponsors activities of Al-Sidra at Faisal Al-Sultan Park’s exhibition
As part of its strategic partnership running for the third consecutive year, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) sponsored activities held by Al-Sidra Association for the Psychological Care of Cancer Patients. The Bank’s sponsorship included Al Sidra’s participation in an exhibition held at Faisal Al-Sultan Park in commemoration of Gulf Cancer Awareness Week; the event featured the participation of notable figures from both the public and private sectors.
Held under the auspices of Sheikha Azza Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, the exhibition was part of the launch for an awareness campaign to combat cancer. The campaign aims at spreading awareness about the importance of early detection, modern and natural treatments, as well as various prevention methods. Additionally, the exhibition hosted a number of cancer survivors and invited them to come forward and share their experiences and challenges with the community.
On this occasion, Manager of the Corporate Communications Unit at KIB, Nawaf Najia, said: “We are always dedicated to participating in initiatives and activities that affect a diverse number of segments in the local community. As a leading national financial institution, KIB has continuously sought to promote the importance of early diagnosis and detection in disease prevention, stemming from its mission to enhance health and well-being across the entire community.” Najia added that KIB has dedicated a number of its efforts towards sponsoring health activities and initiatives that cater to the wellbeing of all members of the community, as part of its leading social responsibility program and humanitarian duties.
It is worth noting that KIB is a firm believer in the important role health plays in the development of the community. Accordingly, the Bank always strives to sponsor initiatives and activities that promote health awareness, particularly those related to cancer. KIB considers health awareness to be a key factor in promoting early detection and treatment, as it believes prevention to be much more effective than treatment.
