Alghanim Industries celebrates National and Liberation Days
At its company headquarters in Al-Hamra Tower
KUWAIT: Alghanim Industries, one of the largest private companies in the region, celebrated Kuwait’s National and Liberation days with its employees at the company headquarters in Al-Hamra Tower recently.
The employee event was attended by the CEO of Alghanim Industries, Omar Kutayba Alghanim, as well as the company’s senior management. As part of the festivities, the event featured local singer Emad Al-Khalifa who played traditional national music for the attendees. Costa Coffee, an Alghanim Industries partner company, served national day themed food and beverages, and a photo booth studio was installed to enable colleagues to capture memorable moments together.
Speaking on the occasion, Omar K Alghanim, said: “When we celebrate our National Day we take the time to celebrate Kuwait’s rich culture, history and heritage. We ask ourselves, ‘what makes our country great?’ I believe the answer to that is simple. Its people. And that is why, for me, these celebrations are an opportunity to celebrate what makes our company great too. Our people. Every person, in every team of our business helped to make 2017 a year of exciting announcements, new partnerships and continued growth for Alghanim Industries. We are going from strength to strength because of their commitment and excellence.”
He went on to say, “So today, I’m celebrating all my colleagues, in every team, in every branch of our business. I want them to know that it is clear - the success of our business is absolutely and indisputably because of their hard work.” In the Kuwaiti National and Liberation Days spirit, Alghanim Industries decorated its headquarters with a large 3storey Kuwaiti flag hung in the head office’s atrium. Kuwaiti flag pins and themed items were also distributed to employees as part of the event. Every year, as part of the National and Liberation Days employee event, the company also hosts an annual photography competition, open to all colleagues, which involves sharing patriotic images that visually represent Kuwait, Alghanim Industries and its brands.
Alghanim Industries holds engaging employee activities on a regular basis, including blood drives which the company organizes in collaboration with the Kuwait Central Blood Bank (KCBB), Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns, and charity runs and marathons in which the company pays the registration fees for its employees who are interested in joining, in addition to celebrating national holidays in the company.
