Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah shooting tourney concludes
KUWAIT: Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah shooting tournament concluded on Saturday in the presence of the representative of the patron Sheikh Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, Assistant Secretary of Kuwait Shooting Sports Club Eng Mohammad Al-Ghurba. The tournament continued for three days during which shooters competed in the Olympic 10m air pistol and rifle, 50m pistol and rifle and archery.
Eng Mohammad Al-Ghurba delivered the club’s speech and said the tournament attracted a large number of shooters from the club and National Guard, and had good and promising results.
He said the shooting club is keen on organizing this annual tournament in appreciation of Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah’s contributions to the development of the shooting sport since its begining.
Meanwhile, President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations President Duaij AlOtaibi said, we are pleased to organize the Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as he is among the first supporters to the establishment of the sport of shooting in our country Kuwait.
He said Kuwait Shooting has become due to the support it receives from HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the government, a prominent sport and made many international and Olympic achievements, and developed its technical abilities and now have the best referees and technical staff in the world. Eng Al-Otaibi said KSSC is keen on organizing this annual tournament in recognition of Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah’s contribution to the development of the shooting sport in Kuwait.
