Amir, Crown Prince meet senior state officials
Amir congratulates Kuwaiti diplomat’s spouse on accolade
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Seif Palace yesterday His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness also received National Assembly Speaker Marzouq AlGhanem, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received Ghanem, His Highness the PM Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah AlKhaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah AlSabah. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Adel Al-Kharafi were also among those to have met His Highness the Crown Prince. Separately, Ghanem received in his office yesterday Turkey’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Aisha Hilal. Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir congratulated yesterday the wife of Kuwait’s ambassador to the United States after she was honored by the UNaffiliated Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF).
In a letter he sent to Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s better half, His Highness the Amir applauded her for being the recipient of WILPF’s “Peace Women Award”, in recognition of her decade’s worth of contributions towards humanitarian causes. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister also sent similar messages to the Kuwaiti activist.
In other news, His Highness the Amir is set to patronize and attend the honoring ceremony of outstanding graduates of colleges and institutes of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) for the academic year 2016/2017. The event takes place at 10:30 am today at PAAET’s new building in Shuwaikh. — KUNA
