Kuwait Ninth Tennis Open tournament finals today

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Ninth Tennis Open Tournament continued at the Kuwait Tennis Center in Yarmouk Sports Club. The tournament which is being held under the patronage of President of Arab and Kuwait Tennis Federations, Honorary President of the Asian Tennis Federation will come to a conclusion tonight with the final match.

Meanwhile Farida Al-Ayyat won the girls under 18 category as she defeated Ritaj Hussein 6-2, 6-3.

Bojan Alicic won the over 45 category by defeating Vanlintin Gregorov 6-0, 6-0.

In the under 11 semifinals Hassan Jamal defeated Abdelalrahman Al-Abdallah 6-3, 6-0, and Mohammad AlAwadhi defeated Yousuf Al-Linqawi 9-1, so Hassan Jamal and Yousuf Al-Linqawi will play in the final.

In the under 13 semi finals Yaqoub Mohammad defeated Abdelrazaq Abdal 6-3, 7-6 and Maxwel Indesit defeated Hussein Al-Shatti 6-0, 6-3. In the under 17 Essa Qabazard defeated Yousuf Al-Majdaly 6-1, 6-1 and Ahmad Khamis defeated Talal Antar 6-0, 6-1.

In the Men’s individuals semi finals Abdelrahman Al-Awadhi defeated Abdallah bu Hamad 6-4, 6-3 and Abdelhameed AlShatti defeated Abdelredha Ibrahim 7-5, 6-3.

In the women’s semi finals Sarah Behbehani defeated Tamara Alicic 6-0, 6-0, and Manar Al-Jazzaf defeated Aseel Al-Kandary 6-4, 6-3.

In the Men’s doubles Abdelhameed Jumaa and Abdelrahman Al-Awadhi, Abdallah Al-Qallaf and Ali Ibrahim, Dawood Sayyed Hashim and Ahmad Khamees, Hassan AlMousa and Abdallah Al-Mukaimi all reached the semi finals. The finals will be played at 5 pm today at the main court of Kuwait Tennis Center, in Mishref.
