Gulf Bank hosted Ramadan ghabqa for its staff at the Millennium Hotel
Gulf Bank gives staff a distinctive Ramadan experience
KUWAIT: Gulf Bank’s annual ghabqa saw staff members and senior bank executives revel in the spirit of the holy month and share the joys of Ramadan. The ghabqa was held at the Al-Taj Ballroom in the Millennium Hotel on May 30, 2018. Two MCs spearheaded a fun, festive atmosphere which captured the camaraderie other staff, who enjoyed a night of surprises, games and raffle prizes.
The ghabqa was an indicator of the Bank’s dedication to its staff, the backbone of its success. Investing in its employees is a core tenet of the Bank, and events such as these are a clear example of that initiative.
After the recent success of its Ramadan video message, which featured renowned Kuwaiti actor Abdulrahman Al-Aqel playing the role of cultural icon Abu Tbaila, the ghabqa continued to touch on the messages of goodness and tradition playing a key role in society today. The ghabqa was a truly familial event, showing the very best of what the Holy Month has to offer.
Salma Al-Hajjaj, General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank, said on the occasion, “Every year, I look forward to the annual ghabqa, a chance for the bank’s staff to relax and unwind with their colleagues in a familial atmosphere, in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan. I would like to thank all staff members for their involvement in tonight’s gala, and I want to say that the Bank is nothing without its people, the backbone of our success. I feel like I say this every year, but the Bank has truly outdone itself this year. What a wonderful night.” The evening was further enhanced by the sounds of soft oriental music. The bank’s recently released Ramadan video message also played in the background.
